Excire Foto Light is a free-to-download AI-powered photo management tool by Pattern Recognition Company (PRC), an AI firm based in Germany. Once installed, you can add photos by clicking + Add followed by Browse. After selecting a folder, press Start and all the contents of your selected folder will be displayed on the screen. 

From there, you can organize pictures into groups and collections, add or remove keywords, and many more. However, users must remember that some features—including PSD file support, metadata saving, and photo deletion and export—are exclusive to Excire Foto 2022.

Create collections and groups

By default, Excire Foto Light adds keywords that closely represent an existing photo. However, this isn’t perfect as there are cases of the program tagging certain images, like cartoon animals, as “architecture” or “graffiti.” Thankfully, you can remove incorrect keywords and add your own. By adding keywords, the image searching process will be much less tedious. The Find Faces system is another feature you should take advantage of, too.

Thanks to the aforementioned system, you can filter image searches according to face count, age, and many more. Apart from that, this application also includes a dedicated Find People and Find Similar Photos system. Alternatively, tapping the tiny down arrow button beside Metadata will bring up the following filters: Camera, F Number, Exposure Time, Focal Length, Photo City, and Photo Country.

If you’ve amassed tons of snapshots throughout the years, the program’s Collection and Group will benefit you. A Group is like a main folder, one that encapsulates the overall theme of your photo collection. The Collection button, though, is akin to a sub-folder that houses specific image files. Unfortunately, sharing images via Google Drive or Dropbox is only possible if you have Excire Foto 2022 installed on your device.

In conclusion, Excire Foto Light is recommended for anyone who is overwhelmed with the idea of organizing their photos. Since it’s powered by AI, it can recognize faces, people, and similar-looking photos. All images include pre-assigned keywords, which may or may not match the photo. Hence, it’s advisable to type your own keywords and remove inaccurate ones. Sadly, some features—like image sharing—are not supported in this program.
